My name is Kirsten Rasmussen and I am currently a library assistant at Rockville Public Library in Rockville, Connecticut. I graduated from Eastern Connecticut State University in May, 2021 with a B.S. in English and Elementary Education. I am working towards becoming an elementary library media specialist.

        As someone with a degree English, I have a huge passion for both reading and writing. I cannot wait to bring my love of literacy into my future library and help foster that same love for students.

        I started this website in 2020 as a project for an elementary education course, and will continue to add to it throughout my career. It currently includes twelve diverse and high-quality books I suggest for students in grades 3-6. On each book's page, you will find key information like grade level, reading level, a summary of the text, electronic supports, as well as teaching suggestions. I hope you enjoy!
